Gifts support creative projects that expand the percussion form, broaden representation in chamber music, inspire collaboration across genres, and educate the next generation of music makers.
This includes upcoming commissions of exciting new music:
- A percussion quintet by Andy Akiho
- The release of a new album featuring music by Viet Cuong.
- The release of John Luther Adams’ “Prophecies of Fire”
We’re also continuing the development of our theatrical touring program with the incredible artists of Gandini Juggling.
The coming year marks Sandbox Percussion’s 16th anniversary along with the 5th year of our Creator Mentorship Program and the 11th year of the Sandbox Percussion Seminar — important programs that spark artistic growth among emerging composers and ignite passion in student musicians.
