Sandbox Percussion Receives the Avery Fisher Career Grant

Sandbox Percussion has been awarded a 2024 Avery Fisher Career Grant, becoming the first percussion ensemble ever to receive the prestigious honor. Presented annually to a small group of artists recognized for extraordinary achievement and future potential in classical music, the award marks a major milestone for the GRAMMY®-nominated quartet and its continued impact on the contemporary music landscape.

The ensemble was honored at the Avery Fisher Artist Program ceremony held at WQXR’s Jerome L. Greene Performance Space in New York City as part of the program’s 50th anniversary celebration.
