Sandbox Percussion’s album Don’t Look Down won the GRAMMY® Award for Best Engineered Album, Classical at the 68th Annual GRAMMY Awards.
Sandbox Percussion’s acclaimed 2025 album Don’t Look Down, featuring music by composer Christopher Cerrone, received a GRAMMY® Award for Best Engineered Album, Classical at the 68th Annual GRAMMY Awards. The recording was recognized for its extraordinary sonic detail, inventive textures, and immersive sound world, highlighting the remarkable work of engineer Mike Tierney and mastering engineer Alan Silverman.
Released on Pentatone, Don’t Look Down represents more than a decade of artistic collaboration between Sandbox Percussion and Cerrone, whose music continuously pushes the boundaries of contemporary classical sound. Featuring contributions from pianist Conor Hanick and mezzo-soprano Elspeth Davis, the album explores an expansive palette of percussion, electronics, prepared piano, voice, and found sounds.
